The Fluke 726 Precision Multifunction Process Calibrator is a precise, powerful, and easy-to-use field calibrator designed specifically for process industries. It offers broad workload coverage, strong calibration capability, and high accuracy required by process professionals. The device measures and sources almost all process parameters, allowing users to calibrate a wide range of instruments. It can be used to test sensors and valves and to test and calibrate transmitters. The Fluke 726 can also interpret calibration results without requiring a calculator and store measurement data for later analysis.

 

Measurement Capabilities

 

The calibrator measures volts, mA, pressure, RTDs, thermocouples, frequency, and resistance, making it suitable for testing sensors and transmitters. It can also source and simulate volts, mA, thermocouples, RTDs, and frequency to calibrate transmitters. When paired with any of the 50 Fluke 750P Series Pressure Modules, the device can measure and source pressure to test and calibrate pressure transmitters and other pressure devices.

 

Additional Functional Capabilities

 

The Fluke 726 can source mA while simultaneously measuring pressure, which is useful for conducting valve and I/P tests. It also enables enhanced flowmeter testing through a frequency totalizer and frequency pulse train source mode.

 

Ease of Use Features

 

The calibrator includes several built-in features that improve usability in different measurement situations. It can store frequently used test setups and allows users to program custom RTD probe calibration constants for improved temperature measurement accuracy. The integrated voltage input protection design enhances reliability during operation.

The instrument uses two separate channels, allowing users to measure, source, or view process signals simultaneously. It also features a backlit display, which improves visibility when working in low-light environments. Additionally, the device is backed by a standard 3-year warranty.

 

Additional Applications

 

The Fluke 726 can capture the set, reset, and deadband of a pressure switch using its integrated switch test feature. It can also calculate transmitter error percentage, allowing users to interpret calibration results without using a calculator. The auto-step and auto-ramp features support fast linearity testing. During testing, the calibrator can power a transmitter using a 24 V loop supply while simultaneously measuring mA.
