The Fluke 1587 FC Insulation Multimeter combines a digital insulation tester with a full-featured multimeter, providing a reliable solution for troubleshooting and preventive maintenance in electrical systems. Designed to help professionals detect hidden problems quickly, the instrument allows users to test insulation resistance, electrical parameters, and system performance with high accuracy while maintaining safe working conditions.

With integrated Fluke Connect® technology, the Fluke 1587 FC enables wireless communication with a smartphone using the Fluke Connect Measurements app. This allows users to monitor test measurements remotely, reducing exposure to hazardous environments. Measurements can be saved directly to a mobile device or cloud storage, eliminating the need for manual note-taking and improving data accuracy. The system also supports historical tracking and trending of assets, helping technicians identify insulation degradation over time and make informed maintenance decisions.

The device supports PI/DAR timed ratio tests with TrendIt™ graphs to quickly detect moisture or contamination in insulation systems. It also includes temperature compensation to establish accurate baselines and allow meaningful comparison of historical measurements. For added safety, the multimeter includes live circuit detection that prevents insulation testing when voltage greater than 30 V is detected. A built-in VFD low-pass filter ensures accurate measurements on variable frequency motor drives, and automatic discharge of capacitive voltage enhances user protection.

In addition to insulation testing, the Fluke 1587 FC measures AC/DC voltage, DC millivolts, AC/DC milliamps, resistance, and continuity. It also supports capacitance measurement, diode testing, temperature measurement, frequency measurement, and min/max recording. The insulation test smoothing feature improves reading stability, and the auto power-off function helps conserve battery life.

The instrument is supplied with a remote probe, test leads, alligator clips, a K-type thermocouple, a protective hard case, and a three-year warranty, making it a complete and dependable tool for electrical maintenance professionals.
